Actually, that’s a common misconception. Cats kill animals and bring them to you because they think you’re a shitty hunter and they don’t want you to starve.

So it’s kind of love, but it’s mostly because you suck at catching food

I’m pretty sure “I don’t want you to starve” is the maximum level of love cats are able to give.

#this is why i love cats #they give you tongue bathes and bring you food because they think you’re a giant hairless cat that sucks at being a cat

It will never stop warming my heart when my cat brings me dead things. Yeah, it’s a little gross, but she cares enough to think I suck so bad that I need her to take care of me. That is how cats tell you they love you. With dead things.

it literally wont harm you. you don’t need to kill every damn creature that looks scary to you, ok. granted its as big as a hand which would make me very weary, but dont have to stomp on the poor lil dude like dang.

like i understand people’s fear of spiders but most homedwellers literally just wanna eat your bugs and chill out in corners out of your way and the only difference with this one is that he’s willing to go out of his way to kill your other bugs

that’s not a spider

that’s a small pet that you give scritches

ok yeah this little guy seems cool and all but some people just have phobias aight like

just because you tell someone thunder or deep water isn’t going to hurt them that doesn’t mean that they’re just gonna stop being afraid of thunder or deep water

shit i don’t care if this spider presented me with flowers and a copy of Majora’s Mask i would still be fucking terrified of it and my fight-or-flight instinct would most def take over

stop condescending to people who have phobias of shit like this okay if you think this spider’s adorable and want to have like 12 of them that’s fucking awesome but good luck getting me to come to your house

i don’t think anyone’s necessarily saying “stop being afraid of spiders,” just pointing out how what seems big and scary is actually surprisingly docile toward humans

and trust me i had some nasty arachnophobia growing up because my hometown had a bunch of different kinds of spiders all over the place and my mom really enjoyed watching shows that talked about shit that could kill you pretty frequently (and guess what black widows were pretty high on the list and— i can actually barely bring myself to remember it)

but one of the ways to help deal with phobia is by casting things in a new light with cool information

and the cool thing is this thing seems to be totally legit from what i can tell, they don’t even lay eggs inside homes, so you don’t have to worry about the obvious problem with that

phobias are difficult to get over, to put it as almost offensively simply as possible, but good information for people who want to try to learn more about something they fear is still handy to have on hand

no no, you see how we get over phobias is to never, ever talk about them and never ever deal with them. they will go away on their own, you see.

doing things like filling a bath tub with spiders for an arachnophobe to sit in is just for shits and giggles.
